Lorena Tesbir has a Bachelor or Science degree in Elementary Education from Western Connecticut State University and a Master or Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Lorena is a Nationally Certified Counselor and she is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut.

Lorena is certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. She is also a Reiki Master. Lorena has been written up in the Autism Spectrum Quarterly for her work with autistic children.

Lorena employs an eclectic approach to counseling with an emphasis on cognitive –behavioral, Gestalt, and Jungian strategies.
